Common questions

Yes, completely. Your session data is AES-256 encrypted inside your browser using your secret key before it's uploaded to MongoDB. Even if someone breached our database, they'd only see meaningless ciphertext — unreadable without your key, which we never store.
When you first sign in with Google, PageRecall generates a unique secret key and shows it to you once. This key encrypts and decrypts all your data client-side. We never see it, never store it, and can never recover it — so save it somewhere safe like a password manager.
Your data becomes permanently inaccessible. Because we use true end-to-end encryption and never store your key on our servers, there is no recovery path. This is by design — it means we genuinely cannot access your data either, even if compelled.
No. PageRecall is extremely lightweight. It runs silently in the background and only logs page visit metadata. Encryption happens asynchronously between sessions, so you'll never notice it.
AI Chat (Pro) lets you ask natural questions about your browsing history. "What tech articles did I read this week?" — the AI decrypts your data locally and answers accurately using only your own history.
Currently Google Chrome. Support for Firefox, Edge, and Safari is planned for future releases.
